Information for presenters

ALL PRESENTATIONS MUST BE DONE IN ENGLISH

The poster must be on display from May 15th to the 17th   in an especially dedicated poster area.

Authors have the option to upload a digital handout which is linked in the online programme.

You must also formally register for the meeting at

Kindly note that the Early Registration Fee deadline is 01 MAR 2019. If you do not register for the AEPC conference by March 5, 2019, then your abstract will not be published by Cardiology in the Young. Abstracts will be eligible for presentation and prizes only when presenter is registered and participating in the meeting

Oral Presentation Information

All presentation files should be brought to the Speaker Ready Room and uploaded into the central system no later than 16.00 on the day prior to your presentation, with the exception of Wednesday’s presentations which can be brought between 09:00 and 18:00 on Wednesday. Presenters will have 15 min (8 min for the presentation and 7 for discussion)

Speaker Ready Room Hours:

  • Wednesday, 15 May 09:00 – 18:00
  • Thursday, 16th May 08:00 – 18:00
  • Friday, 17th May 08:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday, 18th May 08:30 – 12:30

In order to ensure the smooth running of the presentations, speakers are advised the following:

  • You will need to include a short disclosure statement on the second slide of your presentation, declaring any conflicts of interest.
  • Speakers are requested to be in their session room 10 minutes before the start of the session, and introduce themselves to the chairs of the session.
  • A counter will be visible by the chair and presenter during the lecture. There will be an auditory signal one minute before it expires.
  • Please check the schedule carefully for your session time and order of presentations.
  • The chairperson will monitor your presentation timekeeping.
  • No personal computers will be allowed.
  • All presentations should be in PowerPoint in 16:9 format.
  • Please check all your videos run properly with the support team before your presentation.
  • Speakers will be provided with a wireless microphone and a laser pointer for use in their presentations.
  • Speakers are requested to familiarise themselves with the room prior to the presentation.

Moderated Oral Poster Presentation Information

All presentation files should be brought to the Speaker Ready Room and uploaded into the central system no later than 16.00 on the day prior to your presentation, with the exception of Wednesday’s presentations which can be brought between 09:00 and 18:00 on Wednesday.  Presenters will have 7 min (5 min for your presentation and 2 for questions.)

Speaker Ready Room Hours:

  • Wednesday, 15 May 09:00 – 18:00
  • Thursday, 16th May 08:00 – 18:00
  • Friday, 17th May 08:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday, 18th May 08:30 – 12:30

In addition, you work will be presented as a poster, which will be on display throughout the whole meeting in a specifically designated area.

All posters should be formatted vertically, of standard A0 (120cm x 84cm) size. During the conference, poster presenters are responsible for attaching their poster to their assigned poster panel. Tape will be provided. Poster panels will be arranged numerically and organized by thematic area. Posters should be hanged on the appropriately numbered board on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 11:00 to 16:30, and taken down on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 16:30 to 18:00. Any posters not collected by then will be discarded. To allow easier identification of the author, we suggest you include a photograph (ideally 6 cm x 9 cm) on the poster header. It is also a good idea to attach an envelope to the bottom of the board for the receipt of business cards and messages and/or make mini copies of your poster which can be taken away by other delegates.
